Thompson Construction Group is currently seeking a charismatic and experienced individual to join our team as a Site Foreman. Reporting to a Site Superintendent, the Site Foreman is involved in a wide range of earthworks construction activities. Overall Responsibilities: With direction from the Site Superintendent, the Site Foreman will organize the job site and crew to carry out the project plan Assist with the coordination of machine and manpower movement throughout the project Establish and communicate tasks to crew members to ensure they clearly understand their respective roles and responsibilities Ensure compliance and enforcement of corporate health and safety policies and procedures Directly supervise all phases of the project and ensure quality control testing is completed and accurate Attend site meetings when required Perform work direction talks Complete Daily Foremen Reports Qualifications: Minimum 3 years experience in the Heavy Civil Earthworks Construction and/or Mining Industry Ability to work in a team environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Willingness to work in the Fort McMurray area and live in remote camps, working a rotational schedule Must possess a valid driver’s license Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) Regional Orientation / OSSA Basic Safety Orientation (BSO) or Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation (CSO) Leadership for Safety Excellence Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test Additional Information: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
