An excellent opportunity exists for a Program Coordinator (Human Resource Hub) to join the Population Health and Immunity Division. About the position The Program Coordinator will be based within the Population Health and Immunity Division to support the delivery of the Institute’s human-based translational and clinical research. The program, to be funded through philanthropy, will be established in early 2020 and will be centred on the Institute’s core research themes. The focus of this position will be to support projects with a public, population or clinical health component. The experienced Program Coordinator will help to develop, deliver and grow a world leading program for human-based field and clinical translational research by coordinating activities and supporting the governance and reporting of projects. The Program Coordinator will directly support existing and new projects being implemented across the Theme and help develop a framework to support these projects. The incumbent will foster an environment for clinical and translational research at the Institute. The appointee will ensure that the Program runs efficiently by providing high-level administrative, regulatory and budgetary support. This position acts as a liaison between the Program and the professional service areas of the institute and requires regular interaction with all Institute departments and key external organisations. Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in supporting the development of successful, complex proposals or business cases, preferably for multiple stakeholder and/or multimillion-dollar initiatives. Demonstrated knowledge and record in applying the principles of clinical, public or population health research across a complex research program. High level interpersonal communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to liaise, mediate and influence. Ability to take initiatives, work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines on multiple concurrent tasks Demonstrated ability to understand and prepare scientific documentation. Postgraduate qualification in clinical, public or population health or other related fields highly desirable. Experience in a clinical setting and/or experience in developing countries highly desirable. Project management methodology or business management qualification highly desirable. Terms of appointment This position is available for 2 years in a part time capacity. Salary is HEW 7 ($90,831-98,325). Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
