We are seeking a full-time, permanent Junior System Administrator responsible for achieving and maintaining operational excellence within our Brampton Distribution Centre. The successful candidate will install, maintain and support all hardware and software for both local and remote users. The incumbent will participate in IS/IT departmental responsibility for on-going monitoring and maintenance of national VPN network and overall health of core network devices as well as network security and on-going server installations, monitoring and maintenance. The Junior System Administrator will assist in developing all IS Department Policies and Procedures, including a formal Disaster Recovery Plan as well as monitor and maintain System Back-Up/Recovery Plans. They will also prepare documentation and present work results to various projects. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: · University or College Degree in the field of computer science/technology and/or two (2) to three (3) years related work experience; · Two (2) years of experience in the IT field; · Microsoft Technical Skills, Project Managements Skills, Problem Solving, Strong Communication and interpersonal skills; · Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems; · Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards; · Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development an asset; · Strong technical knowledge of Vitalized network environment with SAN solution; · Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Linux and ERP Applications; · In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws; and · Strong understanding of project management principles.
