Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Buses Location: Dereham Rate: £14.61 p/h Shift: mixture of Early’s, mid, and nights: 40 hrs week standard An exciting opportunity has come about with on of our key transport clients who are looking for additional maintenance engineers to join their maintenance teams maintaining their fleet of buses. The company a well known provider of transport services and an organisation known for its employee development and is a great place for any engineer looking to either change Bus companies or engineers with transferrable skills to start a new career in an industry that is continuing to grow. The purpose of the job is to provide maintenance activities to the fleet in line with the fleet maintenance plans giving pre-planned and reactionary maintenance support ensuring adherence to safety standards. Those with transferrable skills are encouraged to apply: Agriculture equipment, HGV, Ex-forces, Car Mechanics Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: · To carry out repairs and diagnostics on vehicles as required. · To fully comply with all Health and Safety & Environmental legislation. · To communicate effectively with colleagues and managers. · Maintain / develop technical skills and to attend training courses as required by the company. · Diagnosis and repair of the company vehicles prepare vehicles for annual test and attend breakdowns as required. · Processing vehicle defect cards and all legal paperwork in line with the company and DVSA guidelines. · To adhere to good housekeeping practices, ensuring all tools and equipment are returned to their designated place Experience: The successful candidates will be qualified to the standard of NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 2/3. They will be able to show a competent background providing maintenance to heavy equipment of vehicles: basic electric wiring and repair with a full compliment of mechanical competence.
