Job Opportunity The Narmco Group is an industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly. As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging career opportunity in Product Design and Metal Forming Simulation. The candidate for this position will use their knowledge and experience in automotive stamping design and tool & die processing to support our engineering and estimating departments with design reviews. Job Summary Interact with customers, both internal and external, regarding product and process design reviews and follow-up. Provide technical support to various departments regarding product and processes throughout the metal manufacturing process. Maintain documentation records of complete product design. Create process layouts for part data. Develop trim lines and morph surfaces to support product development. Gauge and monitor project timelines ensuring project stays on track. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Job Requirements A University degree or College graduate in Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma – automotive option preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years product design experience with metal forming and processing of metal stampings. Experience in 3D design and Solid Modelling, binder development, surfacing and use of Dynaform or Autoform is an asset. Proven experience using UG NX7/8 or Catia V5. Must have complete knowledge of GD&T. Demonstrated experience must contain strong organizational, communication, administrative and time management skills.
