Job Title / Designation - Clinical Psychologist - min 2+ Yrs of Pure Counselling Experience Summary Under general supervision, provides psychological assessment, diagnosis and then counselling for - individual, couple, group, family therapy, case management services; and follow-up to acute, chronic, or moderately disturbed mentally ill clients and/or patients. Duties and Responsibilities Diagnoses or evaluates mental /emotional / relationship stress and issues of- individuals, couples, group and administers programs of treatment; Apart from overall counselling experience of 2 to 4 years - has minimum 6 months counselling experience focusing in this stream only - relationship counselling, marital counselling, pre-marital counselling. Diagnoses or evaluates mental /emotional / relationship / sexual - related cases with - psychotherapy diagnosis, personality assessment etc. Interviews patients in clinics and other settings and studies medical/emotional/social case histories. Observes patients in various situations; selects, administers, and interprets intelligence, personality, or other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and formulate plans of treatment. Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal/couple/family development and adjustment. Monitor client progress through regular calls, meetings and sessions. Giving awareness Talks on Marriage Challenges and trying to educate clients. Treats psychological disorders to effect improved adjustments utilizing various psychological techniques; selects appropriate treatment approach and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of individual and couple therapies. Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment programs accordingly; communicates with family members as appropriate. Documents therapy in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality. Provides crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment. Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinician meetings and conducts workshops, Webinars, Seminars, Training programs -related to Marriage issues and awareness. This is to enhance professional development and maintain currency of methodology and techniques. Preparing online content and presenting the same as online Course. May instruct and guide Junior counsellors - serving psychological internships/employments the clinics. May develop and implement clinical research programs. Performing Research works to add more intervention modules for couple therapy and relationship issues. Preparing therapy and session SOP(standard operating procedure) and modules to follow. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements M.Phil in Clinical Psychology(RCI registered) Doctorate degree in Psychology(optional) and completion of Predoctoral Clinical Internship (optional) Minimum 3 to 4 years experience directly or in-directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. At least 2 year of experience directly handling pure counselling sessions for - individual/couple/family. Apart from overall counselling experience of 2 years - has minimum 6 months counselling experience focussing in this stream only - relationship counselling, marital counselling, pre-marital counselling. Certification/Licensure State of NM Licensed Psychologist, or eligibility for NM licensure, as documented by out-of-state licensure (optional) Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current special education methodologies and techniques. Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress. Ability to effectively communicate medical information, test results, diagnoses and/or proposed treatment in a manner easily understood by the client. Interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills. Ability to evaluate the progress of therapeutic programs and to make individual modifications. Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information. Ability to assess mental status in clients and to develop individual treatment goals and plans. Knowledge of psychological test administration, scoring, and interpretation. Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, marital stress, emergencies, and other stresses. Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records.
