Position Summary As a full-time server providing warm service, efficiency, professionalism and knowledge of our menu offerings, you will ensure the timeliness and enjoyment of every meal. Key Functions Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service. Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way. Have full knowledge of all beverage lists. Follow wine service steps when needed Suggestive selling, and up selling techniques are used. Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner. Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen. Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up. Ensure quality check backs are done in a timely matter. Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods. Follow policies, procedures and service standards Proper cash handling and room post procedures are followed. Process orders using the POS. All vouchers and coupons handed in with cash outs. Processing all payments in accordance to accounting policies. Immediately notified of a customer complaint is reported to the supervisor on duty. Qualifications and Educational Requirements Previous Point of Sale System experience (preferred) Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible and reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and to work cohesively as part of a team Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service Card (preferred) Food Safety Certificate (preferred) Must be at least 18 years of age
