Position Summary: The Food Service Assistant will be responsible for the kitchen maintenance of the site. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate the day-to-day ordering of external meal purchases in partnership with Program Dietitian(s) and Food Services Manager Receive orders and maintains food cleanliness in food storage areas Prepare the dining room for meal time and assist with the transition between each different program’s meal Follow food safety protocol Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization in partnership with nutrition team Wash dishes and assist in clean up after the meal/ snack May participates in meals and snacks with clients/residents and their families Participate in consistent meetings with Food Service Manager Maintain at all times the confidentiality of proprietary information, which includes but is not limited to, trade secrets, sensitive company information, and generally any company information not made available to the public. Maintain at all times the confidentiality of former and current Emily Program clients’ protected health information, as directed by state and federal law, and Emily Program policy. Additionally, maintain confidentiality in any position with access to employee personal information. Attend all required meetings Complete all assigned mandatory trainings Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Associate degree in dietetic tech or bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health related field Competencies: Exhibits passion for our clients, values, and organization Works independently and very proactively with minimal direction/supervision Participates in maintaining a supportive and healthy work environment Considers fiscal and budgetary implications in decision making regarding practice Engages in self-evaluation process, seeking feedback regarding own practice, from clients, peers, professional colleagues and others Workplace Requirements: Sitting 25-30% and Standing 70-75%. Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping or crouching when appropriate, on occasion. Lift, carry, push or pull up to approx. 40 pounds
