The Education Specialists are a recruitment business working in partnership with an Outstanding Ofsted rated College in the Manchester Local Authority who require a Health and Social Care Teacher. The successful Health and Social Care teacher should be experienced in teaching BTEC level 3 either in a secondary school setting of sixth form/college. As a teacher of Health and Social Care, you will be well versed at teaching elements of the curriculum including: Human Lifespan Development, Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs, Infection Prevention and Control etc. Candidates will be responsible for: Planning and delivering of engaging, well structured lessons. Utilising a wide range of approaches and learning resources Making productive use of assessment to plan and develop pupils Direction of teaching assistants/learning support to engage and motivate all learners Managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good, safe learning environment. Attendance at parents evening and other meeting as required. Information about the role: Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS or equivalent and have experience teaching in UK secondary schools. The school will consider applications from Newly Qualified Teachers. This role commences immediately until the end of the academic year. This is a full time role. The salary for this role is based on the teacher pay scale grading from M1 23,720.00 up to UPS 3 £39,406.00 As the role is to start immediately then all candidates will be required to hold, an enhanced DBS and be subject to safeguarding and vetting checks.
