Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology Project Co-ordinator II The appointee will station at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) assisting with daily office operations, including administrative and clerical duties as well as frontline services; (b) providing secretarial support to professors/supervisors; (c) handling procurement, payment and book-keeping; (d) planning and co-ordinating teaching/training programmes for students and doctors; (e) providing logistics support to academic programmes and visits; (f) handling private patients’ matters; and (g) performing other ad hoc duties as assigned. Overtime work may be required. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in project co-ordination and management; (iii) fast and accurate typing skill; (iv) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (knowledge of Putonghua will be advantageous); (v) proficiency in MS Office applications; (vi) good communication and interpersonal skills; (vii) the ability to work independently under pressure, and as a team member; (viii) a strong sense of responsibility, and attentiveness to details. Work experience at tertiary institutions will be advantageous. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
