The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) is Ireland’s first purpose-built, international conference venue, located on Dublin’s North Wall Quay. Since opening in September 2010, we have hosted over 1,900 events for a range of Irish and international clients, won 43 industry awards, including World's Leading Meetings & Conference Centre 2017 and 2019; and continue to position Ireland on the world stage for international conferences and events. To ensure we can provide exceptional service to all those who visit The CCD, we are seeking applications from PSA-licence holders who would be interested in taking on security shifts at The CCD. Key duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Patrolling internal & external areas Command Centre Operation System Monitoring, Including CCTV, Fire Alarm, and BMS Checking identification badges and issue of daily access passes Performing clearing duties at the end of the day Active role in incident response Provision of first aid assistance as required Answer alarms and investigate disturbances Completion of daily reporting requirements Comply with all CCD policies, procedures and protocols Other activities as requested The successful candidates will have: Must have an active Static Guarding PSA and ideally a DSP licence First Aid qualification is desirable Evidence of strong customer service focus Evidence of good teamwork Good communication skills Following a selection process, successful candidates will be rostered to work with our existing security team, rotating duties and schedules. Working hours will be variable, could be any day of the week and either day or night shift. Shifts are not guaranteed, and the availability of work will depend on business needs. This is not a permanent or full-time role. If you are successful in progressing to interview stage, you will need to be available on Wednesday 26th February 2020 to attend. Only candidates who complete the application form and meet the criteria will be considered. This means a current PSA licence, relevant experience and availability to work part time/ casual hours only. Candidates without a current DSP licence must be willing to get a licence.
