Job purpose: Developing and implementing Marketing and Events strategies that help the organisation meet its goals - both annual, and those in the Medium-Term Strategic Plan. Overview of role and responsibilities: As the Garden’s Events & Marketing Co-ordinator, you will undertake a dual-purpose role: Working in partnership with the Events officer you will ensure that operationally the Alnwick Garden’s events schedule runs at maximum efficiency, and working alongside the Marketing Communications Manager you will manage the Garden’s social media strategy and its affiliated digital portfolio. Responsibilities: Marketing Overall management of The Alnwick Garden’s social media accounts Working alongside the Marketing & Communications Manager to design and implement the social media marketing plan Analyse social media statistics to improve marketing strategy Analyse web traffic using Google Analytics Content creation and management of Google Arts and Culture platform Joint responsibility for PPC and SEO campaigns Updating website content Copywriting/proofreading of external marketing communications Collaborating with the Marketing team on ad-hoc commercial events Collaborating with the Marketing team to research and draft PR articles Events Ensuring the robust operational delivery of The Alnwick Garden’s events calendar Maintain, Develop and enhance the visitor experience through event delivery Working alongside the Event Officer to design and implement future event plans Assisting the Event officer in booking bands, buskers, choirs and community performers Co-ordination of event staff to strengthen the visitor experience Creation and co-ordination of staff Rota’s in accordance with event budgets Liaison with external contractors and outside organisations regarding supplies and deliveries Supervision of event staff Assisting with event promotion with the Event Officer Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers, staff and volunteers Miscellaneous Any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Head of Commercial Operations Essential skills: · A solid foundation of marketing or events experience · Excellent interpersonal skills · Ability to pro-actively manage relationships with, and communicate to, internal and external customers, partners and key stakeholders · Understand, and successfully deliver good internal and external customer service · Enthusiastic team player, operating at all levels of the organisation · Creative thinking, and ability to problem solve · Able to respond to flexible work patterns · Excellent personal presentation Requirements: · Qualified to Degree level or equivalent · Proven performance in a marketing department that has managed events · Qualification in either Events Management or Digital Marketing (desirable) · Knowledge of creative programs such as Adobe suite (desirable) · Driving licence (desirable) · Flexibility around contracted hours worked, including the ability to work some weekends Benefits: On-site parking Employee discounts Reference ID: TAG022020MEC Job Type: Full-time
