Who are we? We are a cooperative sugar group, Tereos processes agricultural raw materials into sugar, alcohol and starch. We are the second largest sugar producer in the world. At our site in Normanton we are a packing plant that produces retail packs of sugar (500g, 1kg, 2kg) for retail customers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join our small yet busy team in Normanton. We are looking for a passionate individual driven by organisation and attention to financial detail. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and hold an CIMA or ACCA qualification. Reporting to Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will be responsible for the production of monthly/yearly accounts working as part of the Finance Team relaying information to counterparts in France. The main duties of this role involve: Support the Finance function in producing timely finance reports each month, which incorporate relevant KPI’s. Informing the stakeholders of current and future performance by identifying key drivers and underlying trends whilst providing appropriate commentary. Delivery of the monthly close as well as year-end to tight deadlines. Using both internal and external information sources to add an extra dimension to reporting. Preparation and posting of journals to close month end to deadlines. Production of timely management reporting packs with P&L analysis, comparison of forecasts/budgets with actuals and analysis of variances Assist with month-end and year-end close process and management reporting packs Support in the interim audit and financial audit and in the preparation of external statutory financial reporting. Assisting with tenders, to ensure accuracy and working to tight deadlines. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis If you have solid SAP experience and great Excel skills then please apply!
