Job Description The Helpdesk Level 1 Technician maintains, installs, and supports personal computers, thin-clients, servers, local and wide area networks, software, and data communications technologies throughout the organization, in order to maximize company-wide productivity and minimize system downtime. Receive, prioritize, and document end user HelpDesk requests; Provide technical HelpDesk support via telephone, in-person and remotely in support of infrastructure hardware/software, user account setup, mobile devices, and videoconferencing and A/V equipment; Follow up with users to ensure positive resolution of HelpDesk requests; Escalate unresolved issues/requests to the appropriate team members; Notify team members of performance issues and/or downtimes; Identify and document reoccurring issues and present possible solutions to management; Maintain technical and procedural documentation. Qualifications Required technical knowledge: Knowledge of basic computer hardware; Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Windows operating systems, VPN; Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies; Ability to perform basic account management in Active Directory; Understanding of wireless technologies and providing assistance to traveling and remote employees; Ability to diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices. General requirements: Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment with maintaining that confidentiality; Demonstrate a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others, and maintain composure in stressful situations; Demonstrate problem-solving skills and attention to detail; Additional hours may be required to complete tasks.
