Overview: Provides in country leadership to the Finance and Operations functions in the Latin America division. Puts in place and implements audits and controls. Acts as champion for cross-functional issues at Headquarters. Plays a key role in identifying, analyzing, and implementing internal and external business expansion opportunities. Liasion with sub Region Managing Director in the design and implementation of Strategies and Tactics oriented to drive profitable growth while delivering AOP (P&L, RoCE). Has strong remote management skills in a multicultural and international (multi country) environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required: Owns the Country (or sub region) P&L and RoCE planning, execution and results reporting and analysis, proposing and executing strategic or tactical actions in order to deliver AOP (30%) Designs, implements and/or manages in country financial control structure in conjunction with Tech Data's LAC and Americas Finance department. Identifies and manages diverse risks. Ensures adequate controls and procedures to support planned growth. (15%) Oversees compliance with established corporate policies and procedures (10%) Assists in identifying and evaluating possible internal and external expansion and business development opportunities. Integrates new companies into TDC/LA division (10%) Oversees and supports the day-to-day financial operations. Coordinates in-house support for LA Finance functions including credit, treasury, tax and accounting. Directly supervises FP&A and dotted line basis the rest of the finance functions, ensuring overal aligment toward Sub Regional and Corporate goals. (10%) Establishes and manages relationships with outside entities including banks, insurance companies, accounting, external audit and legal firms in Country. Acts as a key contact with outside entities to develop and manage programs supporting Tech Data In Country. (10%) Conducts competitive and market analysis. Performs profitability analysis. (10%) Acts as Legal representative of TD in Country (5%) Other Duties & Responsibilities: Additional duties as assigned Meets attendance and punctuality standards Qualifications: Experience: 15+ Years of relevant work experience. 10 to 15 Years of experience directly managing / supervising employees. Education & Certifications: Master's / Postgraduate Degree with MBA or equivalent graduate studies from a top business school, possibly with an international emphasis desired Field of Study preferred. Bachelor's Degree with Finance and Accounting field of study required. Other Education / Certifications: CPA designation desirable; Minimum of 15 years of broad based, hands-on business/operational experience, ideally in Latin America. Strong finance and accounting background, preferably in a multinational environment. Solid project management experience desired. Skills to manage results through a matrix organization. BIlingual Spanish/English or Portuguese/English (if located in Brazil). Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive. Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion. Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines. Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities. Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others. Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.
