Business Analyst This is a fantastic opportunity to join our IT department to proactively identify and implement process and systems improvements and to support the IT Manager and the Network analyst in the design, implementation and delivery of all IT aspects of specific business projects and operational elements. This position sits within our IT department but will require significant cross functional interaction. Role Summary Title: Business Analyst Function: IT/Cross-functional Reporting line: IT Manager Direct reports: None Location: Kilbrew, Ashbourne, Co. Meath. Role type: Permanent/Full time Key responsibilities Rapidly develop in-depth knowledge of existing processes and systems, and establish the Business Analyst role as a critical technical expert for the business. Working closely with the IT Manager, Network Analyst and business process owners, identify, design and implement process and systems improvements. Take ownership of the existing IT project pipeline and deliver same to agreed specifications and timelines. Lead training and development of all users on existing software and hardware Lead documentation of existing processes and systems. Support the design, implementation and testing of all disaster recovery plans. Provide support and cover to IT Manager and Network Analyst. Required Skills and Qualifications 3rd level qualification in an IT related discipline (e.g. Business Applications, Systems Analytics, Project Management). Experienced and capable at working cross-functionally Previous experience of managing projects to successful completion Strong communication (both written and verbal) and influencing skills Self-starter, pro-active and comfortable with challenging current practices and processes Experience supporting ERP applications in a medium/large company Understanding of the software development cycle and database facilities. Experience of working with end users and suppliers and developing application Enhancements from inception through testing and implementation. Exposure to SQL and Oracle system facilities such as PL/SQL. Experience of writing batch files. Exposure to MS XP/7/10 and MS Office. Exposure to Business Intelligence tools (Cognos/Qlikview) Working knowledge of telecommunications, LAN’s and WAN’ Experience of approximately 1- or 2-years working in a similar role would be beneficial If you feel you have the skills and experience please apply before Wednesday 26th February 2020.
