An expanding City based Insurer, seeks a candidate to work in a sales support consultant role, working in a team of 7, supporting the Sales and Distribution Consultants. Previous experience in administration or sales for an insurance company is an advantage, but not essential, however in a client focused sales/customer service within financial services is required. The company seeks a person who has an excellent telephone manner and great communication skills as they will be liaising with internal underwriters and external clients/advisors. The candidate must have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise their workload. The candidate must have good IT skills (Excel and Access). Key Responsibilities: The Sales Support Consultant will be a key contributor of our business relationship with advisers, therefore as the representative of the company they will need to be able to show they have the potential and willingness to: Support our operations in the delivery of service – especially managing the quotation process from receipt of the quotation specification to delivery of the quotation to the adviser Ensure schemes are successfully placed ‘on-risk’ as new business and all supporting documentation is saved and filed. Work with scheme underwriting and the administration teams in the new business process Be able to administer and prioritise workloads effectively Deal appropriately with adviser and corporate client issues Manage potential disputes and service failures to minimise impact on the client and the adviser and reputation damage to the insurer/brand Prioritise demands from advisers and be able to contribute to the identification of quotation requests which are a good fit for business strategy Contact advisers regularly for feedback about our quotations and maintain spreadsheets showing the status of quotations and our relative position compared to other insurers Help in the adoption by advisers of our online business processes Help in the user testing of systems which are applicable to sales and marketing functions
