Logistics Coordinator North Kingstown, RI Purpose of Role: The Coordinator will be required to ensure that the merchandise which is being processed in or out is done so in a proper manner. They will maintain records and handle the paperwork associated with the duties associated with the department. Along with the department Supervisor they will create a plan of attack for the day that will ensure that the days work will be completed in a timely manner. Role Requirements: You are signatory authority and responsible for managing all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading, and other logistics related documents. Work in collaboration with other departmental managers to ensure a free-flowing process. Job Responsibilities: Manage the work flow within the office environment to ensure proper procedures are being followed. Has responsibilities for continuous improvement of quality and food safety. Be trained for Quality and Food Safety Assist in product trace back and recalls. Scheduling accurate and on time departures of loads. Coordinating and communicating inbound/outbound cross docking operations. Tracks carrier performance and manages day to day relationship. Participate in efforts to increase productivity and efficiency. Maintain communications with Shipping Lead and Supervisor. Ensure proper training and performance of new hires within the same role. Effectively maintain working relationships with other departments within Taylor Farms. Ensure paperwork is processed correctly, accurately and efficiently. Ensure counting procedures are being followed by logistics staff. Is a partner in achieving and maintaining KPI’s for the department. Shipping Supervisor will assume role responsibilities in case of absence. Work Experience and Qualifications Expected: Previous food service experience preferred, but not required Previous experience in warehouse inventory management system, but not required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required Excellent mathematical skills with attention to detail Self-motivation and initiative to follow through on daily assignments Excellent communication and team building skills English and/or Spanish, oral and written, communication skills are required Proficiency in MS office suite required For confidential consideration, please submit your resume via email to [email removed].
