Summary TBWA\Worldwide is seeking a motivated accounting intern who has completed their degree and is ready to apply knowledge of financial terms and principles to an authentic real-world experience. This intern will assist in a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing journal entries, and learning about varied accounting and finance activities. PLEASE NOTE: This is a paid, year-long internship beginning January 2020 and ending approximately January 2021. This intern will be required to work onsite in our New York City office in a full-time capacity (40 hours/week). Recent graduates preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Processing inter-company and vendor invoices Allocate and bill agency costs Reconcile inter-company balance, generate inter-company reports, and communicate with executives from around the world to ensure timely payment of past-due inter-company receivables Account reconciliations Review and reconcile T&E expense reports Assist in monthly and quarterly closings Creating and submitting journal entries Generate general ledger reports and analyze general ledger data Ad hoc requests Requirements Must be available to work onsite in our NYC office in a full-time capacity (40 hrs/week) Accounting or Finance Major Proficient in Microsoft Office Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles Attention to details Ability to multitask Strong analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Eager to learn and excel
