Job Title: Facilities Engineer - RQ-20-04 Location: Calgary, AB Reporting to the Director, Engineering, the Facilities Engineer will be responsible for safe and successfully execution of assigned oil and gas facilities and pipeline infrastructure projects. As part of this challenging role you will specifically be responsible for: Project management (scope, schedule, cost) of facilities and pipeline projects of various size and complexity including well tie-ins, compressor stations, oil batteries and gas plants Assist Asset Teams and Operations with management of change process and troubleshooting operational issues Generate and manage project AFEs Coordinate engineering deliverables (cost estimates, PFDs, P&IDs, IFC, design reviews, HAZOP, etc.) on own or with assistance from approved external consultants Ensure designs are “fit for purpose” and in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, internal specifications and industry standards Coordinate survey, stakeholder consultation, land acquisition, facilities and pipeline license applications Work with procurement to develop bid lists, evaluate bids, make recommendations, and award contracts for materials and services Project cost control and reporting, contract administration and construction management. Commissioning and start up assistance of new facilities and pipeline infrastructure The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in conventional oil & gas facilities and pipeline project execution Professional designation and membership with APEGA Working knowledge of current codes and standards (CSA Z662, ASME B31.3, AER Directives) Demonstrated project management skills, and experience with MS Project, AFE Navigator, etc. Working knowledge of engineering and process simulation software (i.e. PIPEFLO, VMGSim, compressor performance programs) would be an asset Excellent communication skills across management, engineering, operations and external consultants.
