Role Summary/Purpose: The AVP Consumer Banking Treasury FP&A will be responsible for supporting Treasury funding relating to Retail Deposits and managing expenses (Interest Expense, Operating Expenses, and Project Related Expenses). This role will be responsible for assisting in driving cost effective deposit growth and will be a critical player in delivering on financial requirements. This role will be critical in reporting key expense and interest metrics needed for Quarter Close and Pricing Scenarios; build and own multiple planning scenarios and partner with cross-functional leaders to drive and manage expenses. Critical Experiences: Quarter Close Management/Forecasting – support the GM, D2C Strategy Leader, Treasurer, and SVP – D2C Finance with timely and accurate FP&A reporting, develop the annual operating plan, short-range forecasts and quarterly pacing for Retail Deposits. Influence in a Matrix Environment - this role embodies a range of key stakeholders and the need to develop strong relationships with Consumer Banking functional teams including Marketing, IT, Operations, Risk; partnering with all functional leaders to review key trends, efficiency ratios, and help develop new cost/benefit analysis for new products Cross Functional/Cross Platform – this role will have opportunity to work very closely with HQ Cost & Productivity Team, Marketing, Ops, IT, Treasury etc; gain the ability to identify and address impacts to each function and measure results and impact of new changes implemented to multiple functions Funding - this role will allow individuals to gain an understanding of Treasury funding Essential Responsibilities: Develop annual operating plan & short-range forecast partnering with Marketing, IT, GM, and Treasury. Lead presentations to Treasurer, GM and Strategic Indicatives leader. Partner with Cost and Productivity team to drive FP&A and reporting efforts for Marketing Manage D2C opex cost centers for pacing and planning (Bank HQ, LYFE, D2C HQ) Collaborate in ability to relationship bank with customers, expanding ability of call center agents to service customers with pricing tiers and promotional offers. Partner cross-functionally to support Consumer Bank Strategic Initiatives (Project Ignite & new products). Own strategic initiatives project spend and benefits estimation process in collaboration with Strategic Initiatives and IT. Assist in creation of new customer segmentation metrics and balance flows to improve stickiness of depositors. Partner with Strategic Initiatives and Marketing to help develop a product roadmap and vision for Retail Deposits Analyze deposit growth to understand components of marketing spend, rate and product relationship levers. Lead monthly manual journal entry process for the Bank Marketing and HQ functions working cross functionally with accounting, marketing and cost and productivity teams. Challenge IT invoices working with Sourcing and Analytics to acquire internal usage data. Support compliance initiatives including quarterly regulatory reporting, audit requests and targeted reviews. Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, 10 years equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting and/or corporate treasury or banking environment Minimum 2 years of Financial modeling skills Desired Characteristics: Strong knowledge of basic accounting and financial analysis / concepts Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Hyperion Attention to detail, ability to multi task, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in teams effectively Strong oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills Must be willing to travel up to 5% of the time Experience influencing and directing people outside of their reporting structure Eligibility Requirements: You must be 18 years or older You must have a high school diploma or equivalent You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. The salary range for this position is 70,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
