About Our Company Sweets from the Earth is a family run, vegan commercial bakery manufacturing a wide range of products for retailers and foodservice operations across Canada. As a proud plant-based manufacturer with an emphasis on organic and non- GMO ingredient sourcing, we boast a reduced-footprint operation compared to conventional food manufacturers. We are currently building out our third production facility in North Toronto that has excellent TTC access and have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our organization as a Community Manager. About the Role The SFTE Community Manager will implement the Company’s Online & Offline Community Outreach Strategy, managing engagement with its audience, and fostering community spirit. This role coordinates with sales, production, R&D and management to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a strong community around the brand. Primary Responsibilities Develop, implement the online community strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the company to ensure its effectiveness and providing superior quality of customer service and support to our community with the help of various communication tools. Work with Product Development, Order Desk, Sales to ensure the community platform (for ex. Website, forums, blogs, apps, moderation tools) are kept current and functional, as well as influence the roadmap by collating user feedback. Generate compelling editorial content, comment threads and contests to engage & educate the SFTE Community, and lead them into contributing their own high quality submissions and requesting SFTE products at retail locations. Moderate all User Generated Content according to the moderation policy. Manage communities located in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Google reader and other similar social media outposts. Attend Twitter party’s other social media events outside of normal business hours, as applicable. Monitor report effective benchmarks for measuring the growth of the community, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of new initiatives. Monitor, report trends, acquire competitive industry intelligence and regularly relay insights gained to management. Set up tracking and alerts for keywords specific to our industry / Company, to subscribe to industry blogs, podcasts, and video channels, and to subscribe to certain topic categories on YouTube. Organize , manage SFTE in-store demonstrations, Consumer Shows, Food Festivals, and Sponsorship Programs. Measurements Responsiveness to communications of (blog comments, emails, twitter messages and forum threads) less than 2 hours (during business hours). Number of quality blog posts read and shared. Number of meaningful comments (more than a few words, on topic, pertinent to the space) on appropriate blogs, videos, and other media per month. Overall quality of social media streams (mix of industry related, company related, broader categories of interest, ex. vegan, kosher, food allergies/sensitivities/safety, environmental, desserts, etc.). Engagement on our blog/community/network. (Number of subscribers, number of comments, number of links out to other blogs from our community site). Sell-through on SFTE demos and consumer shows. Your skills Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and fantastic interpersonal skills. Strong oral and written command of the English language. Bilingual English/French considered an asset. Strong project management or organizational skills. In-depth knowledge and understanding of online community platforms, their respective participants, and how they can be deployed in different scenarios. Knowledge of our industry, consumer base, unique selling points. Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships. Good technical understanding and can learn new tools quickly. Constant exploration of new pathways to achieve SFTE goals. Exceptional and demonstrated customer service skills.
