We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Senior Revit CAD Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for: Producing Revit models relating to the Civil and Structural design of water and waste water assets Working within a team environment under the supervision of senior personnel Taking responsibility for the quality of the CAD work produced; Recognising the importance of delivery timescales; Taking personal accountability for Health & Safety legislation; Core duties and responsibilities: Production of Revit models and drawings Ensure compliance with relevant local and national standards Design of water and waste water assets (slabs, tanks, structures). You will be expected to lead the graphical design and take guidance on the specification from the Civil Engineer Provide input to the pre-construction Health and Safety Plan, including risk assessments, so that it can be prepared and updated at appropriate intervals Provide input to the Designers Health and Safety File and Quality Assurance File and ensure it is reviewed and updated accordingly. Ensure that the technical content of all work is carried out in accordance with the agreed timescales and budgets Work directly with the supply chain to gather relevant information relating to the technical specification of the project Work closely with team members from other disciplines to ensure the project requirements are met and drive efficient delivery. Participate in project reviews relating to design, progress and construction to receive questions and challenges in a constructive manner. Proactively research, present and implement innovative new processes and ways of working to optimise output. Eaxmples of this are: Paperless design and construction Using Autodesk BIM 360 Developing and using standard designs Exploring the use of other software packages such as Autodesk Dynamo To adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: ESSENTIAL: Good working experience with Autodesk Revit software Ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in plain English Use of Microsoft Office 365 DESIRABLE Reinforcement detailing Reinforcement scheduling Concrete specification and design Structural design Site surveying using laser scanning Incorporation of drone surveys using Autodesk Civil 3D software Professional Membership and Qualifications: Level 5 qualification or higher (as below) in civil/structural engineering (desirable): diploma of higher education (DipHE) foundation degree level 5 award level 5 certificate level 5 diploma level 5 NVQ Water and waste water design experience Personal Qualities: Self-motivated and takes responsibility Ensure colleagues and team have the knowledge, skills and support for high performance Accepts and delivers constructive challenges Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions Take responsibility for your personal development and enable and support the learning of others Effective negotiation and persuasion skills, ability to manage and diffuse challenging situations Project a professional image to clients and colleagues Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
