We at Surya Hotels are seeking a General Manager with a big personality with the proven ability to build strong relationships with the local community to lead The Mill Hotel in Sudbury. The ideal candidate would have/be able to: · Provide strong leadership, support and strategic direction to all departments · Ensure the successful day to day running of the Hotel · Develop and deliver long and short term strategic plans and budgets through knowledge, industry trends and financial opportunities, maximising the reputation and profitability of the hotel · Ensure excellent guest standards by creating a personal and professional guest service · Ensure complaints are dealt with efficiently and effectively. · Build and maintain great relationships with all stakeholders including suppliers · Safeguard the quality of operations both internal & external by completing regular audits and supervisions · Responsible for compliance in legalisation and regulation, including the Health & Safety Act, fire regulations etc · Thirst to drive and improve F&B standards · Desire to delight our guests at all stages of their booking or stay with us · Compassion to lead, motivate, inspire and develop your team To be successful as our General Manager you need: · Management Experience in a 3/4 * 50+ bedroom hotel with proven levels of success · Attention to detail · Ability to lead and inspire a team, across a number of divisions, e.g. Kitchen, Housekeeping, Reception · Numerical dexterity to crunch the numbers, drive occupancy, ARR and achieve best ROI · Excellent management skills, including recruiting, performance managing and leading a team · Commercially astute to monitor and analyse trends and identify opportunities General Managers are managed against the Hotel P&L, guest feedback, ARR, Occupancy levels, Audits and Team stability In return we're offering our General Manager: · A highly competitive salary · 28 days holiday, (inclusive of public holidays), · AE pension, · Bike to work scheme, · Varied working times and great opportunities to advance your career · Big discounts on Hotel Stays and Meals, throughout the Group We are offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 OTE per annum.
