Architecture Intern - Summer 2020 Summit Design and Engineering, one of the fastest growing companies in the Triangle area, is seeking a highly a motivated architectural student interested in a paid summer internship. This internship position will provide a challenging and rewarding work opportunity for an Architectural student. Under the direction of an experienced Architects, you will perform a variety of architectural support assignments for various projects. This may include assisting in the compilation of data for architectural plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, business development, etc. The ideal candidate will also be involved with assisting in conducting preliminary studies to obtain information as to space and design requirements, obtaining measurements and making sketches preliminary to the preparation of contract drawings as well as performing basic analysis of design, creating planning and occupancy studies and limited design layouts. The Internship would last from approximately May through August and are looking for someone to work 40 hours per week. Skills and Qualifications: Enrollment in a design school at an accredited college or university and have completed at least two years of studies in the Architecture program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge and/or experience using Photoshop, Illustrator, Revit, InDesign 3D Sketchup and/or AutoCAD is a plus. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving and excellent communication skills a must. Ability to work as a team player and interact well with others. Strong desire to learn.
