The TMS Transportation Analyst will be responsible for the set up / maintenance of our Transportation Management System and utilizing cross functional team interaction to build and implement business rules to optimize our transportation expense. Responsibilities: Process Weaver TMS implementation and operational maintenance which includes, Implementation, Upgrades and Configuration Testing. Deep understanding of the relationship between delivery and shipment processing within context of TMS. Knowledge of the fundamentals of shipment processing including configuration of a shipment profile and development of business rules to set up optimal routing of packages Deep understanding of shipment costing and various shipment statuses and stages of shipments. Operational Maintenance, such as Carrier Tariffs, Transit Tables, Zone Tables, and rate/discount structures. Adding new carriers. Perform testing and defect resolution to ensure quality solutions. This includes functional unit testing, string testing, integration testing, and regression testing. Collects, evaluates, analyzes and disseminates data to leadership for decision making. Creates BRDs (business requirement documents) and FRDs (functional requirement documents) for transportation solution development and implementation with TMS. TMS management also includes managing integrations with ancillary systems including WMS & ERP Process improvement and redesign initiatives, i.e., identify and implement new functionalities to improve workflow, carrier management, etc. Problem (Quality) resolution and tracking. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, and/or Technical required. MBA is a plus. TMS experience/knowledge, preferably Process Weaver TMS. Transportation/MS experience 3+ years. Strong knowledge of parcel transportation industry i.e., tariffs and networks. Preferable experience in eCommerce. Skills and Qualifications: Established and productive professional individual contributor who can work independently with general supervision. Ability to influence others through explanations of facts, policies, and practices. Works on moderate to complex projects, and exercises sound judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions Strong technical proficiency with various tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish job.
