Die Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin – Landesmuseum für Kultur und Geschichte Berlins – ist eine Stiftung öffentlichen Rechts mit Sitz in Berlin. Am 23. Juni 1995 wurde sie gemäß Museumsstiftungsgesetz gegründet und erhält seitdem Zuwendungen vom Land Berlin. Das Stadtmuseum Berlin betreibt fünf Museen in Berlin: Das Märkische Museum, die Nikolaikirche, das Ephraim-Palais, das Knoblauchhaus und das Museumsdorf Düppel. We present Berlin’s culture and history from the very beginning to the present day. In doing so, we draw from a wealth of more than 4.5 million objects, which we have gathered in our collections. Each object tells its unique story covering almost 800 years of the city’s history. We look forward to meeting you in one of our locations in Berlin-Mitte: in the Märkisches Museum close to the Köllnischer Park, in the Nikolaikirche in the Nikolaiviertel (Nikolai Quarter), in the Knoblauchhaus nearby and in the Ephraim-Palais just across the street.
