A vacancy has arisen at Stax Trade Centres Ltd Manchester for an Assistant Accountant to join our Head Office team. The Assistant Accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to provide financial information and to work with the Financial Accountants to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and management accounts. The role is varied with a mix of financial and management accounting and the successful candidate will be responsible for: Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts Accurate balance sheet reconciliations Banking for Subsidiary Assisting with day-to-day operations of the Finance department VAT return preparation Compliance work including Intrastat and National Statistics Preparation work for annual audits and working as part of a team coordinating the audit process. Various internal and external monthly reports Project work and system development as requested by Financial Accountants In order to be considered for the role of Assistant Accountant you must: Be ACCA or CIMA part qualified, although “Qualified by Experience” candidates will be considered Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role Be a strong team worker and communicator Have experience of working to strict month end deadlines Have experience of all aspects of the monthly accounts production process Have the ability to work at a fast pace and manage multiple duties while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Have good IT skills particularly excel Have good planning and organising skills Benefits: On-site parking Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
