What can I expect to do in this role? You will: Direct, plan and manage the overall activities, infrastructure and operations of Fort Henry National Historic Site (FHNHS). Lead and initiate the development of new business opportunities that promise meaningful return on investment. Provide strategic business planning and analysis, through innovative leadership to ensure financial profitability and business growth. Coordinate extensive infrastructure, maintenance and service programs, projects and major change initiatives affecting FHNHS, its heritage conservation and its delivery of daily and special events. How do I qualify? PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION You have: A high degree of managerial, operational and program administration skills with proven success in leading a business unit to successful outcomes. Knowledge of and experience in conducting rigorous business analysis, coordinating and validating several programs and activities including fiscal strategies and leading and coaching continuous improvement efforts. Knowledge and experience in business renewal, new product development, marketing, customer sales and service to lead your team in the successful implementation and execution of new and existing product. Strong conceptual and creative strategic-thinking skills to formulate short and long range plans for business enhancement; ability to lead and initiate the analysis and development of new business opportunities. Sound knowledge and understanding of facilities management with experience guiding and directing trades in restoration, repair and reproduction of structures and coordinating extensive infrastructure and maintenance projects including major change initiatives. The ability to manage consulting engineers, review technical specifications, estimate costs and coordinate project schedules for the effective and efficient implementation of maintenance and capital projects. LEADERSHIP, INFLUENCE AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT You have: Strong leadership, interpersonal and change management skills to motivate, organize and lead staff towards common business unit and organizational goals. Experience leading teams and providing overall management to a diverse team ranging from seasonal and student staff to subject matter experts. Successfully demonstrated strong relationship-building and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts, influence stakeholders and develop constructive relationships with other business unit managers and staff. COMMUNICATION AND STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT You have: Superior communication skills to deal with staff at all levels within the SLPC and MHSTCI (Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries), partner organizations and other ministries. A demonstrated ability to deliver clear, concise analyses of complex issues to senior management and other members of the extended management team and to provide guidance and direction to staff and partners. Managed stakeholder relationships to successful outcomes and to drive continuous improvement. A personal commitment to customer service excellence.
