Job Title: Associate Editor, Books, Applied Science & Engineering Location: New Delhi The Associate Editor is required to build and manage a portfolio of high level books, in the area of engineering and applied sciences. Key responsibilities include: · To build up the scientific network among the applied science and engineering community, with a focus on India and the Asia Pacific region. · To plan, acquire and manage books and other products. · Keep abreast of latest developments in engineering and applied science fields, while focusing on emerging topics as well as interdisciplinary research. Requirements Education: Science (STEM) background required, at least a bachelor’s degree in the sciences, engineering, or mathematics is essential. Master’s degree preferred but not required. PhD’s with interest in publishing will be considered. Experience: Some experience in publishing or related fields preferred. This can be waived for PhD holders or those with a direct background in research. Skills: Candidates must have excellent communication skills and command on the English language. In addition, they should be able to present to large audiences, and must have good analytical and networking skills. Preference will be given to candidates with professional knowledge of written and spoken Japanese language skills. Tools: At least intermediate level expertise in basic MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Some expertise and experience in Social Media management is preferred. Travel: Extensive travel required. Candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively. >40% travel requirement.
