Spring Education Group West Chester, Pennsylvania Director of Facilities Management Spring Education Group, a national private education company is currently seeking a Director of Facilities Management for our corporate Office located in West Chester, PA The Director of Facilities Management will be responsible for leading a variety of tasks and projects, including the management of the repair and maintenance teams and capital expenditures. Duties & Responsibilities: Manage construction contracts as it relates to the existing facilities. Oversee RFPs/bidding process for maintenance and capital projects. Manage project milestones and vendor accountability to ensure timely completion. Attend meetings on behalf of asset management team. Interact with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and city/county agencies. Interview, hire and manage additional consultants, contractors, and consulting firms. Supervise the administration, planning, operations and work of consultants, and contractors. Manage repair and maintenance teams. Track and report on capital expenditures. Maintain and complete documentation related to all planning procedures, communications regarding the facilities and actions taken on each. Ensure construction and contractor compliance. Monitor compliance to lease agreements. Prepare and revise budgets and schedules. Advise team of ongoing issues throughout the life of the projects. Attend city or county meetings, maintain neighborhood relations as needed. Participate in special projects as required. Organized, able to prioritize Proactive and self-motivated Works independently Skills/Knowledge/Education: BA /BS in Construction, or related field Minimum of 5 or more years of project management experience Knowledge of all aspects of Facilities Management 5 or more years of experience in Real Estate / Asset / Facility Management Construction, property management, real estate, accounting and lien law experience desired. Ability to develop and read scopes of work and project plans Interpret and enforce construction contracts Experience in reading and reviewing Lease Agreements Project accounting, cost control and budget planning and scheduling skills required Public speaking and presentation experience required Synthesize information with clear recommendations Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate with senior leaders Microsoft Office expertise preferred: Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, MapPoint, Visio, AutoCAD, and Gmail. Physical Requirements: Position frequently involves long hours and widely diverse duties. Must be able to bend, stoop, and perform extensive walking. Occasionally, lift up to 30 pounds. Generally works in a standard office environment. Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts. Extensive computer time and extended periods of sitting. Car and air travel may be necessary from time to time.
