As a Junior Consultant you will help support senior staff on a wide variety of challenging assignments related to environmental Life Cycle Assessment modelling and reporting, using our GaBi software as well as support implementation of our Corporate Sustainability solution, SoFi. The duties of the Junior Consultant include the following; (these responsibilities may be modified, and other duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the business) JUNIOR CONSULTANT: Day-to-day activities will include: Creating life cycle assessment models of a product or service in our GaBi software, Developing life cycle inventory data, analysis of manufacturing processes, Writing reports that comply with ISO 14040/44 or other relevant guidelines, Presenting results in PowerPoint or other formats, preparing LCA-related project proposals, and supporting staff on other related activities. Focus of the work will be to assist corporate clients with: Development and implementation of sustainability strategies, Product sustainability measurement and reporting, such as Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Health Product Declarations, Implementation of requirements around corporate enterprise reports to recognized international bodies such as GRI and CDP, and other sustainability-oriented projects. Travel will be required as necessary on a project-by-project basis. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Undergraduate or master’s degree in engineering, science, or related field; Experience and/or domain knowledge in the areas of Product and Corporate Sustainability; SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Knowledge and passion for sustainability, environmental systems, life cycle thinking, product sustainability and/or climate change; Strong quantitative or technical background with an excellent aptitude for analytical thinking. Natural curiosity to investigate issues, conduct research, and translate results into business practices; Aptitude for learning new software—ideally will have some basic programming experience; Good oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate issues, give presentations, and prepare formal written reports; Self-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work both independently as well as on teams.
