Spaceteams is a small but growing Hamburg-based software engineering company. We were founded by software engineers and we are led by software engineers. Why is it so important that we were founded by and are led by software engineers? Because with knowledgeable and experienced Leads who know first hand how being a developer works and what the challenges are like, you are able to receive constructive feedback and understanding support from someone who really gets it. What is a typical day at Spaceteams like? We believe that the best working environment for a software engineer is when you are able to balance your focused and independent work time with team collaboration. We aim to structure the day so that you are not often interrupted by meetings. Concentrated work time on your tasks, giving support to and receiving support from team members and a daily alignment meeting are the basic recipe for a successful day at Spaceteams. Some days will also consist of collaborative meetings with clients, 1:1 meetings with your Lead and team discussions about tech stack, architecture and other team-related topics. How will I grow at Spaceteams? One major way we support your growth is by dedicating every Friday to personal training. We call this “Spacetime”. During Spacetime, you can get familiar with your project tech stack, learn about new technologies or contribute to open source projects. If needed, your Lead or senior engineers are there to discuss your development path and goals. Together, we can create a plan for your growth. What’s it like to work with us? Honestly? We’re a pretty solid blend of laid-back and hard-working. But more than anything else, we’re a team. To us, that means respecting each other's individual ways of working while tackling challenging projects together. We build purposeful software while fostering an inclusive learning environment where we can grow together and as individuals. What are our company values?
