This role is a fixed term role within our Marketing office in Singapore for 12 months. The Specialist Operations primary control focus is ensuring the completeness and accuracy of transactions from front end management systems to downstream systems. As the link between the front office, other operations and finance functions you will also be involved in regulatory, counterparties, and process improvement initiatives as required. You will play an important role in managing the operational risk of the business and improving the customer experience. You will be expected to know and understand the provisions of the relevant contracts, to be able to challenge and influence for South32 to get the best value for money whilst protecting its interests within the constraints of the contract. Accountabilities Operational Create and manage contracts through the contract lifecycle, process post-deal contractual activities, drafting and reviewing of contracts and ad hoc problem solving. Ensure accurate system entry and filing of contracts in Ariba (or other contract repositories). Advise contractual and financial risks associated with the contracts, identifying areas where there are opportunities for value creation as well as areas where the exposure to value leakage exists. Work collaboratively with various functional Subject Matter Experts. Review and authorise all contracts/responses, making modifications where necessary to ensure contracts accurately reflect the terms agreed, and to ensure all contracts are fit for purpose prior to dispatch. Reporting of MTM or other risk requirements as determined by the Marketing Ground Rules in relation to new and amended deals and perform reconciliation checks on traded contracts. Validate compliance to the Supply Chain Management processes and capture related transactional data into system. Stakeholder Relationships Engage in cross commodity / cross functional working groups to support functional excellence, governance, general improvement initiatives. About You The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor’s Degree in a commercial, supply chain and/or relevant business discipline 3 - 5 years working experience in Contracts and/or supply chain roles in Commodity markets Experience in drafting of commercial contracts advantageous Sound knowledge of Microsoft office applications Experience with SAP, Ariba, CTRM Fusion advantageous Fluent English, both verbal and written Knowledge of other languages relevant to the specific market advantageous What We Offer You The South32 Global Marketing Hub is located in Singapore, a vibrant, multicultural city in the ultra-modern Capita Green Building.
