The Role 2 Positions available Ongoing Full Time - with RDO available Ongoing Part Time (0.84 EFT) - 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday) $30.05947 per hour An opportunity exists in our Sustainability Services team to assist with maintaining, protecting and enhancing the municipality’s natural environment for a more stable future. Your key responsibilities will be to assist with the planning and implementation of Council’s Roadside Weed and Pest Animal Management Plan through on ground works, undertake tree management and vegetation maintenance works, implement weed control activities and construct and maintain infrastructure in Council owned or managed Natural Bush Reserves and rail trails and assist with works associated with the implementation of Fire Management Plans for Councils natural reserves. To be successful, you will have sound knowledge and be well experienced in the areas of environmental management and biodiversity and possess a Certificate 3 minimum qualification in Horticulture, Natural Resource Management or an equivalent level certificate in a related field. To support your qualifications and experience, you will also have a good understanding of weed identification and management and have practical experience in working with various horticultural/construction equipment. You will also hold an Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP), Traffic Management Certificate and Construction Industry Red/White Card. A current driver’s license is essential.
