Job Overview and Responsibilities Role & Profile of the Candidate: Job opportunity has arisen to set-up and lead activities related to Hygiene, Safety, Environment, Products and Transportation (HSEPT) matters of the plant in due respect of legislations, ISO 14001 certification and internal Care Management System program. Principal Accountabilities: Legal tasks Ensures respect of legislations in terms of HSEPT matters Manages Emergency Response Plan HSEPT policy Defines HSEPT policy of plant according to Responsible Care Direction guidance and internal Care Management System Ensures application of HSEPT policy by all Employees and Contractors Zero Tolerance Policy Defines Zero Tolerance Policy according to Clients specific requirements Ensures strict application of Zero Tolerance Policy by all Employees and Contractors Continuous Improvement Drives continuous improvement of HSEPT performances Validates HSE compliance of process modifications Certification programs Obtains and maintains ISO 14001 environmental certification Improves continuously results according to internal Care Management System Team management Ensures personal development of team members according to Human Resources policy Manages HSE team cost center Additional comments The HSE Manager has to: implement the HSE policy of the site put in place the monitoring of the legislation (to rely heavily on the bodies of regulatory watch) have a political sense and be of integrity and unfailing confidentiality be field orientated on occupational safety have a natural leadership so that everyone is aware that they are responsible for their own safety know how to create a network with Polish representative good knowledge of quality management could be a plus Documents requested: CV (English language) Education and Experience Education and Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor degree in HSE, engineering, engineering technology and related At least 5 to 10 years of experience in similar position Skills Skills and Competences: Excellent people and communication skills Ability to lead people and deal appropriately with conflict and difficult situations Personal features: mature, effective, trustworthy, responsive, entrepreneurial, innovative, dynamic, with can-do-attitude Demonstrated strong communication, leadership and influencing skills, problem solving, decision-making with the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment Highly developed organization and planning competencies: defines targets, sets-up and runs action plans, monitors results, organizes reviews Highly developed ability to motivate teams: bring along teams to high HSE performances, ensure appropriation of HSE issues by each and every person on plant Be empowered to take responsibility and accountability Have a strong focus for achieving results and operational excellence Good awareness of employment relations laws and safety rules Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal of Polish Good command of English Additional Information
