The Role: The Client Platform Engineer is a hybrid role supporting Sojern's employees to ensure they have the systems and support they need to be highly productive. This team member works cross-functionally with every department to provide solutions and support to a wide variety of business needs. To be successful, engineers require a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of operating systems, systems administration principles, centralized management and control technologies, and combined with the capability to leverage them to create unique and innovative solutions. Responsibilities: Support, manage and administer a mixed platform client system environment (Windows & macOS). Administer client system management tools (i.e. Ivanti or similar end-point management tool & GSuite). Recommend, test, configure and deploy via policy, hardware platform changes to meet business needs Maintain client hardware standards including client configuration and test new technology. Procure and manage hardware assets and device inventory Administer enterprise software including deployment, policy and package management Diagnose and investigate unique and complex systemic problems. Write scripts that automate application and settings distribution using internal tools. Partner with information security, corporate vendors, managed service teams and other related groups to ensure a uniform support of end-point health and user satisfaction. Partner with multiple teams to prioritize and balance work in terms of day to day requests, projects and operations. Work as the escalation point between various support teams for issues on the IT client platform. Perform end users support for local office and vacation coverage for IT team members as needed Systems administration of client platforms (i.e., GSuite, Endpoint Antivirus, detection & remediation) Occasional International Travel is required What you bring to the table: Educational requirements: Associate’s degree in Information Technology Management or Computer Science, Bachelor’s degree preferred A minimum of 5 years in a support position with responsibility for IT Operations Exceptional management and leadership skills, with strong operational focus Flexible mindset with experience and desire to work in dynamic environment Strong analytical and time management capabilities Ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time Experience with 3rd-party vendor management of Desktop and Network IT services Experience monitoring & troubleshooting office network performance Practical knowledge and experience with Windows (20% of environment) and Apple / Mac OS (80% of environment) Practical knowledge and experience with GSuite, GMail, Google Drive, Google Enterprise and Google Sites Apps Excellent skills in English oral and written communication, leadership, supervision, planning, budgeting, negotiation of contracts, hardware and software procurement Practical, “hands-on” experience with application and end-user support Can translate business requirements into technical requirements Serve as a liaison for staff and provide technology training along with as needed 1-on-1 follow-up Apple Genius Bar, JAMF, Ivanti (Landesk) Systems Administration Perks: Opportunities: Be part of a growing team with training and support to help you grow Culture: Strong core business values, focus on teamwork, vibrant, social and fun environment Snacks: Variety of snacks in the office Competitive Localized Benefits Time Off: 30 vacation days Give Back: We give 40 hours a year to volunteer and organize office volunteer programs with local organizations Well-being: Medical insurance coverage, on site occupational health specialist, meditation opportunities and more!
