We are seeking a tech-savvy person to join our internal business systems team at Smartly.io. As a Business Systems Trainee, your daily work will be around configuration and data management in our sales and customer relationship management systems. Our cross-functional business-IT team (also known as Value for Life) works closely with different stakeholders across the organization, helping them capture relevant data and transforming it into an actionable format for decision-making. Overall, we aim to make others’ work easier and more automated. While the position will initially be fixed-term, we hope you can continue working with us after that part-time alongside your studies. As a Business Systems Trainee, you will: Work proactively in creating and maintaining business applications that enable a global organisation to scale. Administer and configuring business applications such as our customer relationship management (CRM) system. Ensure the data in our systems provide is accurate for what it is being used for. Participate in projects to develop our business applications - our ultimate goal is to automate everything we can to help our sales teams become more efficient. Support users in achieving their goals, such as having the ability to collect and use the data they need to succeed in their daily work and in decision-making. Debug system errors. We're definitely looking for you, if you Are in the mid / late stage of your studies, studying for example information systems, knowledge management, information technology or related fields. Are fluent in written and spoken English. Excel at Excel and are generally good with different IT tools. Communicate well with both business and technical stakeholders - you’ll be working closely with our sales and customer success teams as well as developers. Have a problem-solving mindset and ask questions to understand what challenge you are solving and why. Are curious to learn new practices and IT tools, but also proactively challenge our current ways of working and aim to make them better. Want to work with a wide range of tasks related to an application’s lifecycle, such as defining system specifications, configuring processes, testing their feasibility, communicating about changes and iterating based on feedback. We are also excited if you have any of the following Experience in administering, configuring, or developing business applications such as customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Understanding of applications architecture and how different systems work together, as our team works with several integrations. Working knowledge of SQL and/or programming languages. Experience in configuring or building integrations and data pipelines.
