Staff Engineer, RFIC Design Description: Candidate will be responsible for creating innovative solutions for the fast paced and high volume cellular market. Candidate will participate in all phase of the development, including product definition, architecture, system, transistor-level circuit design, layout/layout supervision, top level simulations, silicon debug and production test support. Hands-on transistor level design as well as silicon debug and lab evaluation is required. Successful candidate will work closely with system/RF engineers to understand RF system challenges and devise innovative architecture and circuit solutions. Experience in RF SOI or RF ASIC related to cellular transceiver products a plus Job Requirements: Min Bachelor's Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Communication Engineering, or other related specialisation. Post graduate qualification is highly desired. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in analog/RFIC design. Strong desire and commitment to take product from concept to volume production. Hands-on experience in CMOS analog and mixed-signal circuits such as band-gap, op-amps, control loops, DAC, serial interface, temperature sensor, linear and switching regulators, clamps and ESD circuitries Ability to analyze system spec, perform architecture trade-off analysis, and translate system spec into circuit block specs. Solid understanding of basic analog/RF circuit requirements including noise, linearity, bandwidth and loop stability, both small signal and large signal. Solid understanding of basic RF concepts such as impedance matching, RF filtering, passive RLC and resonant circuits. Hands-on experience with both time and frequency domain circuit simulation using SpectreRF/GoldenGate/ADS. Solid understanding of Si device and CMOS process technologies. Experience in silicon debug, familiarity with test equipments, and good problem solving skills in lab. Layout experience and good layout practices, both high frequency and high precision Basic understanding of wireless communication theory, control theory, and device physics. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to collaborate and work well with local as well as global teams.
