As the cameraman/editor of the Riyadh Bureau you will shoot and edit all aspects of news coverage for the bureau reporter and team. You will work on location on filming assignments and fast-breaking stories as well as ensuring bureau live shots are shot and lit to a high technical standard. You will also work with a variety of technologies including HD ENG news cameras, mini-cams, DSLR and EOS cameras. Ability to edit and publish with Adobe Premiere CC software. Understanding how to setup Bgan, high-quality video streaming backpack and other newsgathering technologies for transmission. You will be a versatile and key member of a small team delivering world class broadcast journalism. Key Responsibilities To shoot/edit and feed HD footage. To be the lead technical craftsman in bureau team. Responsible for working on assignment both from your region and internationality, often travelling to hostile environments. Provides live shots from various locations, from set up to transmission through Bgan, , IP-based live video solutions satellite or fibre. To be a key member of a small bureau team to ensure highest quality story telling and craft skills in broadcast and digital journalism. To maintain technical and IT infrastructure of bureau operation. To log and archive footage appropriately. To ensure duties are carried out with proper reference to health and safety and security considerations. Key Skills, Experience and Education Experience in video production within one or more large TV channel. Ability to light, shoot and record sound simultaneously to high technical standard. Experience of Adobe Premiere CC software an advantage. Experience in the use of Bgan, HEVC Encoder for HD Video Audio mobile transmission and Livewire for ftp transfer are an advantage. Experience in HD, UHD is required. Skilled in IT. Team player. Experience working in a hostile environment an advantage. Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Fluency in Arabic and good in English. Minimum 5 years experience.
