Roles & Responsibilities Responsibilities: 1. Handling day-to-day cruise and ferry operations Assist Duty Manager to plan and manage the overall operations of the terminal in order to provide a good experience for passengers Liaise with government agencies (ICA etc), customers and stakeholders on cruise and ferry ground operations planning and coordination Assist Duty Manager to supervise contractors and operations officers on duty Ensure smooth passenger traffic, baggage operations and land transport access that meet terminal users’ needs Assist Duty Manager to carry out crowd control and emergency procedures Ensure equipment breakdown are quickly attended to Perform Ferry Baggage Check-in (not applicable for cruise) & supervise cruise/ferry baggage operations team/contractor Supervise the handling of baggage (maximum of 30kg baggage) and ensure that the bags are correctly and safely loaded on board Process billing for cruise and ferry related charges Ensure smooth handling of passenger embarkation/disembarkation process and observe safe practices Plan terminal manpower deployment efficiently on activity-based planning 2. Observe Terminal Operations KPIs and Safety Provide excellent customer service to passengers – attend to passenger’s requests, enquiries and complaints and monitor service standards Identify and recommend areas for improvement Enforce workplace safety and health rules within terminal Ensure contractors meet the operational and service standards of the terminal Follow safety, housekeeping, security and health procedures Conduct daily inspection to ensure overall cleanliness and safety at terminal Monitor and report any non-conformances or incidents pertaining to safety, security, health regulations and all operation matters Collate vessels and passengers’ statistics for monthly management report 3. Training, Handling Crisis Management and Project Management Assist Duty Manager to oversee OJT training for new staff/interns Participate with team projects assigned by management Assist operations team in handling Crisis Management Requirements: Diploma 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in hospitality or maritime related experience A team player with a high level of communication, commitment and Inter-personal skills Effective oral and written reporting skill Must be computer literate Shift work required (able to work on weekend and public holidays)
