JCamps Specialists are accountable for all aspects of assigned program area(s) of camp. Prior teaching experience in area of specialty is strongly preferred. Specialists must have strong communication and organizational skills. Eligible candidates will be 18 by the start of camp and are able to pass a background check and fingerprint test. Skills required: Enthusiasm, Patience, A great sense of humor, A strong work ethic, Positivity, Ability to work with a team, and Ability to harness your inner 7-year old! Must be comfortable planning & leading Arts & Crafts activities for children Responsibilities include: Planning age-appropriate activities for campers in grades K-6 Creating fun and enriching Arts & Crafts program for children of all skill levels Ability to adapt curriculum to match the abilities of all campers Keeping and maintaining inventory of all Art supplies Preparing activities and activity area Leading activities for groups consisting of 14-16 campers Planning and facilitating unique electives for campers in grades 3-6 Participate in planning sessions before the start of camp Other duties as assigned Perks! $320-$348 per week (depending on experience and education) Free JCC Membership (pool, gym, hot tub, sauna, etc.) Full time job from May 31-July 31 No weekend work over the summer Due to the high volume of applications received, we cannot respond to individual telephone inquiries about whether or not a position has been filled.
