Position of Field Civil Engineer is required to support all the site civil activities related to earthworks, foundation installation, structural steel erection and building erection for field engineering and quality control. Additional purpose is to oversee all civil activities and implement the overall project plans till completion. Hold the custody and responsibility of all project drawings at site including the supervision of the marked up drawings. Position is also required to coordinate and report all civil activities that impact civil engineering design the civil engineering in LaPrairie. Responsibilities and Accountability Report any safety issues that he is aware of. Review all civil drawings for implementation and availability at site. Report any deviance to IFC documentation (Drawings and Specifications) that he is aware of. Answer civil site queries and/or coordinate their process in collaboration with civil engineering Review civil shop drawings and/or coordinate their review in collaboration with civil engineering Review all civil works performed on site and coordinate/report all elements that may impact civil engineering design to civil engineering in LaPrairie. Provide all information/support to civil engineering in order to implement any required instructions/modifications to contractor and construction. Participate to all civil coordination meetings on site and with civil engineering Participate to all weekly meetings with civil contractors. Ensure full compliance of Company rules and procedures. Participation to coordination with site manager and civil superintendent and other discipline site engineers to improve project site schedule activities Provide technical support for corrective actions proposed on NCRs Follow up the progress of the works on site as cost reimbursable and acknowledge the time sheets, receiving materials and using the equipment as backup of monthly invoice Health and Safety Demonstrate EHS leadership and comply with Zero Deviation Plan Takes proactive steps toward all matters related to EHS in the workplace. Participation to POD meetings and internal meetings related to safety. Note: the work will be based in Churchill Falls, NL - Rotation 21/7 - Accomodation in CF Camp and food provided
