Educator - Outside School Hours Care We are seeking experienced, well-rounded and motivated OSHC Educators for our Graceville Service. We are offering several amazing opportunities for the right applicants who has graduated from an Early Childhood qualification such as a Diploma or Cert 111 in Children’s Services. School Plus are specialists in providing high quality Outside School Hours Care Services to children across South East Queensland. We are passionate about fun and engaging programs and the essentials necessary to “laugh out loud and learn through play”. We are committed to the safeguarding of children and young people from harm and genuinely embrace integration and involvement within the School Community. Our programs and menus have a focus around empowering children with choice and learning resilience and life skills. The primary role of the Educator will be to support and collaboratively work with the Coordinator. We are looking for that person(s) who is committed to creating fun and interactive play-based programs, whilst fostering relationships with children and families. About you: You will be an outgoing, reliable person who has lots of initiative who loves to laugh out loud at work You will have a true passion for working with children (4-12 years); Be able to build strong relationships with the children, parents, school and community Work as part of a team and acting as a role model to staff and children Previous experience working in Childcare Industry with a good understanding of the National Quality Framework. Requirements: Relevant childcare qualifications (or are actively studying) such as a Diploma or Certificate 111 in Children’s Services or if you are completing an Education, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Disability Services, or Social Work Degree and looking for casual work to gain hands on experience in working with children, including some students with additional needs; Be available to work at least 3 afternoons a week (Monday – Friday); Hold a current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificate or willingness to obtain; A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check). Hours of work are varied and include split shifts during term time: 6.30am - 9.00am Before School Care 2.30pm - 6.00pm - After School Care Various shifts during Vacation Care School Plus understands the importance of a team that works together, while offering many opportunities to learn and grow.
