The Role We are looking for an experienced and customer-centric Logistics Accountant to join our busy team in Auckland, New Zealand. Departmental/Operational Key Responsibilities may include: You will be responsible for extracting data from relevant data sources to prepare base charging data; Ensuring that all data in the following systems are prepared according to requirements for monthly reporting and customer billing: NextGen (WMS) - warehouse data EXCEED (WMS) - warehouse data DDS (Domestic Distribution system) - transport management TMS (Time management system) - labour-related SAP LFS (unique for Schenker Contract Logistics) Composing data into billing information and assign the correct charges accordingly; Resolving and investigating all customer queries; Maintaining the customer-specific billing rates and templates; Ensuring that customer on-time invoicing KPIs are met; Facilitating customers with ad-hoc reporting on billing information including operational statistics; Liaising with Logistics operational and business managers to identify, capture and charge out of scope work accordingly; Ensuring adequate timing alignment of cost recognition; Reviewing new customer requirements and setup customer files; Maintaining adequate records and uphold financial controls required for statutory obligations; Developing effective relationships with internal/external client base. Competencies and Skills required: Accounting Degree; 2 or more years of accounting experience in the logistics and supply management process; Experience in FAMS, SAP, AS400, Oracle, Exceed WMS and Sapphire TMS and related systems; Good written and verbal communication skills; Basic customer service skills; Management skills; Knowledge of relevant legislation and authorities which impact your area of responsibility.
