Learn more at shn.ca Position Overview: Reporting to the Vice President, People and Transformation, the Director, Human Resources and Organizational Development is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the areas of Employee Relations, Labour Relations, Human Resources Systems and Operations, Organizational Development, Workplace Inclusion, e-Learning and Library Services. The Director will lead a team of subject matter experts to build a culture that empowers and inspires people. The Director will be a change agent providing leadership and support to create and deliver advanced HR and OD services focused on fostering a high-performance culture and respectful work environment that attracts, retains and inspires the best. The role extends beyond the confines of the organization to building and collaborating with external partners through strategic regional initiatives. Requirements: The successful candidate will possess a Masters degree in a related discipline, a human resources professional certification and have 5+ years of progressive human resources and organizational development experience in a complex public sector organization. Preference will be given to candidates with leadership experience in a unionized environment. In addition to relevant professional experience, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated talent for building relationships, fostering collaboration, leading transformational change and exploring innovative approaches to building human resource structures that support organizations going through transformation. SHN has recently adopted the LEADS leadership capability framework. Familiarity with this framework is an asset.
