A dedication to the growth and development of our team members The Food Scientist manages the product development process for our Food Service partners. This position participate in cross-functional Innovation teams to successfully launch new products. R&D lead in innovation project teams and customer projects taking items from concept through development into product launch and audit. Achieve project objectives through strong project management and cross functional influence. Provide technical support through researching customer requests/challenges, experimentation, formulation, application testing and technical product presentations. Research and increase knowledge in understanding key customer application attributes, providing solutions and growing Sartori originals and branded items. Documenting customer visits and product requests into Salesforce. Determines optimal formulations to meet customer requirements, including: cheese performance, sensory attributes, performance in application, label requirements, financial considerations and metrics. Application testing and problem solving based on customer visits, sensory evaluations, sample generation and audited customer responses. Metrics on ability to provide solutions and meeting customer attributes with Sartori originals. Plant trial execution as needed for custom request scale-ups and new product trials. Blue sky, research and experimentation in providing unique product ideas and prototypes to the innovation team. Maintain the Sartori starter culture library and experimentation in novel starter culture in developing new products. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in a Science related field, required. Minimum of 5 years of technical industry related work in R&D, Quality or Operations, required. ABOUT YOU! You have demonstrated project management skills.
