Performs a variety of Human Resources tasks under general supervision. Responsible for New Hire Orientation and company-wide employee communications designed to effectively promote positive employee relations and support Five Star initiatives. Creates, implements, including writing, editing of documents for various departments and projects. Carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following Human Resources functional areas; Benefits, Training, Recruitment, Employment, Employee Relations, Compensation, Personnel Research and other duties as assigned. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and cross train in other modalities in Human Resources. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required, must have excellent written/oral skills, ability to analyze, interpret, and understand data, able to draw conclusions from limited or ambiguous data including excellent computer skills. Must be able to perform formal presentations one-on-one and in a group setting. Applicant must be Customer Service Oriented and have excellent communication skills. Applicant must be detail orientated, have time management skills, able to process and double-check data completely and accurately to produce error-free work. Ability to work independently with minimum direction, support or approval and maintain motivation. High School diploma or GED; prefer two-four years of professional Human Resources experience; Computer Skills Required; Excel/Word/PowerPoint (Tested for proficiency); Sedentary Work; Must be able to bend and stoop; Vision, hearing, and talking abilities must be adequate to enable one to quickly and accurately perform data entry tasks, read small print, and send and receive clear, accurate and/or written communication; Frequent periods of concentrated or focused attention will be needed to interpret visual and auditory cues; Alertness and careful attention to detail will be required.
