This position is in the Integrated Business Planning Department. We are looking for someone who can increase the alignment of our core business system (IFS ERP) with our business processes to provide and coordinate quality business data and information. Your role Your role will be to use your knowledge of the ERP system, together with inputs from business stakeholders, to ensure the optimal setup and configuration of the ERP system and its alignment to business processes in order to provide quality business information. You will also be involved in the development and publishing of queries, reports, dashboards and ETLs. You will be the coordinator and custodian of all ERP system reports. The main tasks Master as much of the ERP system’s functionalities and capabilities as possible Assess and present business solutions through the use of the ERP system Investigate, prototype and test system functionalities and configurations to enhance business effectiveness Perform data inquiries and audits to verify system and data integrity Identifying and review business data and reporting requirements Research, design and develop ERP queries, reports, dashboards and ETLs (Extract Translate Load) Be the custodian for ERP business reports Your profile We are looking for an inquisitive solution driven analytical person with business acumen and strong technical abilities. You must be able to interact easily with your peers and all levels of business stakeholders. Qualification & Required skills We are looking for someone with a strong IT systems and business process background with proven technical skills applied in a corporate environment, preferably manufacturing. B.Eng. Industrial Engineering, BSc. Computer Science, B. Com Computer Science / Informatics 5+ Years of relevant experience Desired skills Solid business knowledge in the areas of supply chain, projects and finance Extensive ERP system knowledge (IFS advantageous) Thorough SQL knowledge and scripting Data and information management What you will be a part of You will be part of the newly established IBP (Integrated Business Planning) business function. The purpose of this function is to connect the planning functions of each department to align operational capabilities with market demand to drive improved quality and on-time delivery. Integrating people, behaviours, processes and tools to achieve the objective. As this is a new business function, the work is demanding and the workload high. It requires a multiplicity of technical and people skills. As this business function matures, whilst keeping the drive towards improvement, focus areas will shift. The team you will be joining currently consists of seven people and based in Centurion (Pretoria).
