SWM International has two openings for summer interns at our Ancram, NY facility in our Engineering, Maintenance and Utilities Department. The Interns selected will assist the Department with daily tasks and projects. Assist existing SWM management staff in the evaluation, analysis and design of capital engineering projects and maintenance projects as instructed by management staff. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for the Intern to apply their learned knowledge in a “Hands On” environment within our facility. We will also introduce the Intern to Continuous Improvement projects by participating as part of our continuous improvement projects team. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 1. Interacting with the Maintenance Team Manager, Mill Manager, Operations and Maintenance staff on day-to-day mill operations 2. Assisting with the development of Capital Engineering Projects and assist in the general maintenance and repair work within the maintenance department 3. Assisting in the implementation of Continuous Improvement Projects QUALIFICATIONS: Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related studies required. ❖ Computer proficient in Auto Cad, Word, Etc. ❖ Good verbal and written communication skills are a must ❖ Detail Oriented NOTE: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the incumbent.
